Keep track of the books you are reading.

Stackline is a personal reading tracker. Add a book with its title and author, save the page you got to, and move it to finished when you turn the last page. No feed, no recommendations, no one else looking at your shelf.

What you can do

Add a book in two fields

Title and author, and you are done. Page count is optional, and a new book starts on your reading list straight away.

Keep your place

Save the page you got to. If you entered a page count, the book shows a progress bar so you can see how far along you are at a glance.

Move it to finished

One tap moves a book off your reading list onto the finished shelf, dated. Marked one by mistake? Move it back.

How it works

  1. 01Create an account with your email and password.
  2. 02Add a book — title, author, and a page count if you have one.
  3. 03Save the page you reached whenever you put the book down.
  4. 04Mark it finished, and it moves to your finished shelf with the date.

Questions

How do I get in?
Create an account with an email address and a password, then log in. Your reading list is tied to that account.
Can anyone else see my books?
No. Every book is stored against your account, and the database only ever hands back your own rows — even to another signed-in account.
Does it look up covers, blurbs or ISBNs?
No. You type the title and the author yourself. There is no book catalogue behind Stackline, and nothing is shared with anyone else.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The pages work on a phone-sized screen, so you can update your page number mid-chapter.
What can I track besides reading and finished?
Nothing yet, and that is deliberate. Stackline has two shelves — reading and finished. There are no goals, streaks, ratings or notes.
